Living Life Alopecian Style!
You Lost Your Hair, Not Your Smile!
Alopecia is a condition which prevents the body from producing hair. Much like balding, you can't "catch it" and it won't "rub off on you". Alopecia affects thousands of people not only in North America but around the world.
Most people will develop a small patch of hairlessness around the back of their head, and with some treatment your hair will grow back and you can continue with your life.
There are treatments available that work to varying degrees.

For some people treatments are ineffective and they may begin to lose more and more hair. This leads to anxiety and stress, which may cause more hair loss and aversions to social situations. I've received many emails and letters from people who've stated so and I do my personal best to make people understand that being Alopecian isn't the end of life.
Alopecia can affect children, teenagers, adults and our elders. Alopecia does not discriminate between your ethnicity, religion or your social status. Alopecia has nothing to do with your diet, but may have more to do with your emotional state. Humans have about a 17 in 100,00 chance of developing alopecia in their lifetime.
My website takes a look at alopecia from my own perspective -- relax, take a deep breath, mellow out a little, and continue living your life! You aren't going to die from losing your hair - it's just a bit of vanity we go through. Myself, I'm open and frank about being a hairless human - the more who are open about it, the less of a stigma it will feel to others.
Please feel more than free to look through my website and download anything you need to paper or diskette for your doctors and dermatologists. This information is for you all to use freely and openly.
If you feel I'm missing anything in this section, fill in the line and submit it.
I'll look into it myself and add it here for everyone else to share.
